Ben is a fully qualified Level 4 Senior Coach in Performance and Development, meaning he can coach players from club to regional level.

He is the Clubs Tennis Manager and Head Coach, runs and organises all the coaching sessions throughout the year for all ages and levels.

Ben has been a professional tennis coach for over 20 years and at Backwell for 15 years. He has developed an outstanding community programme & coaching team at Backwell. Where over 250 juniors, 100 adults & a schools outreach programme with local schools that all play weekly.

He has worked with and coached many regional and county players at both junior and senior level. Previous Jobs include Head Coach at the University of Bath.

Ben also has an excellent coach mentoring scheme where over 50 Level 1 coaches & 20 Level 2 coaches have come through the junior coaching programme since 2008.

Ben and his team are known for the coaching in all weather policy. Coaching at Backwell Tennis Club has only been cancelled a handful of times over the 15 years Ben has been at the club.
